I love what it represents:
What do we need to let go of, in order to hold tight to the iron rod??
It certainly makes me stop and think!! I think life will be a LOT simpler if we let go of all of the things that are not adding to our lives and bringing us closer to Christ.

This is such a thought-provoking image and message! I love it. We can be carrying a lot of things that let us still hold to the rod, (family, a love of knowledge, for example), but I guess that is the key - to always make sure that what we do carry is never an impediment to holding to the gospel with two hands. It's kind of funny but very sobering to imagine what we might be holding instead.. a mirror? a block of chocolate? a sport's trophy? a television, or a movie ticket?..
